Present: Annette Gallegos, Rebecca York, Andrea Taylor, Carol Thompson, Michala Riley, Alyson Hildner, Cori Stevens, Kasey Correia, Lindsay Reichert, Jack Turner, Brad Blake, Marcia Vining, Randall Haynes, Bobbie Rosa, Amos Lee, Ann Salviazul.

September minutes: Andrea Taylor motioned. Carol Thompson second. All approved.
Speakers: Jack Turner and Brad Blake spoke about running for County Commissioner
Creative District meeting for Holiday Festivities (Light Parade/Taste of Christmas etc.,) October 11 at the Library. Time TBD.
Bobbie Rosa: “Disability Awareness Day” collaborative celebration with the State of Colorado at the Museum October 12th 9am – Noon. Disability Awareness week to follow.
Kasey Correia: Dancing Spirit was awarded a $500k grant and working on $350k construction loan. Dancing Spirit has enrichment series with Montessori, Friday school activities, adult pottery classes and therapeutic art classes. Grand Opening week: November 17, 18, and 19th.
Cori Stevens: Homecoming week and parade. Game this Friday. A Charter school has applied to the district. A public-school board meeting to interview Charter schools on October 13th from 5:30-7pm. October 26th from 5:30-6:30 to decide approval of Charter. And November 11th for resolution of Charter School.
Marcia Vining: “Voices of Ignacio” project (interviews and photos of elders in the community) is looking to continue the project. Would like more elders and stories as well as volunteers to help with project. Stories and photos are on the Library website. Intern-Project is working with the schools for semester internships. Also looking for ideas to bring public school kids back into the library.
Creative District has its first project: Street Mural. Painting the street between library and ELHI on October 15th 10am – 4pm. Need community members and artists.
Amos Lee: Farmers Fresh getting ready for the holidays and will have turkeys
Andrea Taylor: Willow opened between 6am – 2pm. Rolling Thunder Grill closed on Monday & Tuesdays. Have a vendor food truck outside casino for extra good choices. Monday night football in lounge. Also Spin to Win (cash prizes) on October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29th. Grand prize $5k. Casino 14th year anniversary celebration next month.
Town of Ignacio: Working on housing and broadband. Town Clean up October 6 -9th. Town Board Meeting October 10th - 6pm.
ELHI: Need a financial advisor for board. January will have new board seats open.
