Present: Clark Craig, Sharon Craig, Rebecca York, Kasey Correia, Mike Pacheco, Heather Velasquez, Charlie Flagg, Tony Harwig, Scott Davis, Keith P, Ron Dunavant, Amos Lee, Marcia Vining, and Tuggy Dunton
Sharon Craig: Economic Development meeting update: home prices increased; unemployment increased. A lot of legislative bills upcoming (ie municipalities, gas tax, straw and Styrofoam use, and jail depopulation, etc),
Kasey Correia: Art camps are resuming for spring break and summer at Dancing Spirit.
Keith P: Suggested we do more community events such as Cinco de Mayo celebration, 4th of July Parade, or motorcycle rally.
Mike Pacheco: Staying busy
Heather Velasquez: Business as usual
Charlie Flagg: Mass testing and vaccinations today and tomorrow. Tribal Council moving from Stay-at-home to Safer-at-home. This will allow the Casino to open at limited capacity.
Tony Harwig and Scott Davis: Introduction of new volunteer coordinator, Scott Davis. Need first responders.
Ron Dunavant: PPP funding closing 3/31. Congrats to Chris DeKay for superintendent.
Amos Lee: Feed store is opening. Business is good.
Tuggy Dunton: Town Hall meetings are second Monday of each month at 6:30. Remote link on Town website.
Marcia Vining: Library returning to regular hours including Sundays. New virtual cooking classes 3/10 (Mediterranean) and 3/31 (N. African). 2 new book clubs starting in April. Summer reading program for both in-person and virtual. Book, “Wonder” with author coming on Kindness. Clark applauded Ignacio Library for staying open or being accessible the entire pandemic. Durango Library was closed entirely.
