December 2, 2020

Called to order 8:02am


Present: Clark Craig, Sharon Craig, Amos Lee, Mandy Brown, Chris Dekay, Heather Velasquez, Kasey Correia, Mike Pachecco, Allison Leath, Rebecca York

And Via zoom: Ron Dunovant, Marcia Vining, Bethany Powell, Annette Gallegos



November minutes: Sharon motioned. Mike second. Minutes approved.


Special presentation: Allison Leath and Kasey Correia discussed the “Light up the town” Parade. Line up for parade at 4:30. Parade begins at 5:30. Santa will be arriving via helicopter. $100 best float winner. Please decorate homes and businesses along parade route.


Round table discussions:


Allison Leath: ELHI received 2 grants to help with food distribution and security cameras.


Amos Lee: Good holiday week


Mandy Brown: discussed lighting up neighborhoods for others – especially during lockdown. Community events can be put on the Ignacio Community Page that Mandy operates and updates. See Facebook at “Ignacio Community Gathering” page.


Ron Dunavant: TBK drive through open, lobby open via appointment, PPP forgiveness is available.


Marcia Vining: Library will be handing out gift bags at parage. Library is OPEN. Limited staffing but open and serving the community. Materials are available by mail within 10 miles.


Chris Dekay: School is open. Covid spread is low. Thanked Farmers Fresh Staff for thanksgiving turkeys to teachers.


Emily Meisner: Economic Alliance creating a five-star program for restaurants to self-certify for opening to 50%


Charlie Flagg: Testing Dec 7/8 from 9 – 3 at events parking lot. Bruce Valdez is filling in until SUIT elections. Tribe still on stay-at-home orders.


Brian Rose: “Energize Colorado” grant program. $4.5-5 million in grants.


Kasey Correia: clay luminaries for sale for $15


Sharon Craig: Christmas lighting parade. Reminder to please shop local.


Bethany Powell: PCC went remote 2 weeks earlier. Agriculture courses available and looking at Fire Science. Funding is available for students through cares act for scholarships.


Clark Craig/Board update: mailing out bylaws soon.


Ann McCoy: sends her greetings.


Next meeting January 6th 2021 at 8am
